Some comfortable chairs would increase comfort of the stay. Everything is available. The AC is a must have in summer! Kitchen is very small and basic for real cooking but suitable for preparing breakfast and coffee. |

| 09-07-2010, USA We had a great trip to Italy. What's not to like? The apartment in Rome was very comfortable and tastefully done. The ample space was more comfortable than staying in a hotel. The hosts were very gracious and welcomed us in the apartment upon our arrival. It was home away from home. The washing machine was really an added bonus which was very much appreciated. The apartment was also ideally situated since it was close to major sightseeing areas. Being close to everything we had a great time eating in different areas every night which made it easy for us to hang out in the piazzas which gave us a taste of what Rome life was all about - Trastevere one night, - one night at the Pantheon area, another in Piazza Navona, another in Campo di Fiori.etc. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone going to Rome and would rent it again next time we are in Rome. |

The Metro station is just around the corner and there is a grocery shop and a tobacconist nearby for essential goods. The apartment is wonderful with nice rooms and bathrooms with a excellent kitchen and even a washing machine. The hostess was polite and helpful and the cleanliness was good. |

The landlady was extremely friendly, polite and forthcoming. The appartment is quiet, the room is clean and close to the city centre. We had six people living in the apartment, and all lived quite comfortably. We loved the fact the apartment was minutes from an open air market and a grocery store. We enjoyed the accessibility of the tram, trains, and subway from the apartment. The apartment itself was located in a beautiful villa. It was clean, colorful, and had a lovely design. It was exceptional. Thank you very much for such a pleasant experience. |

| 01-07-2010, Costarica If I go back to Rome, I will go to Giorgia's place again. It's very comfortable, well located, and the hostess is lovely. Giorgia was always there to help us. We practiced our little knowledge of Italian with her, but she has no problem understanding other languages. This Bed and Breakfast is located 150 mts. from Saint Peter's Basilica. You could have your breakfast and visit the Vatican City before the other tourists arrive. Bus line 64 stops almost in front of the hostel and there are good restaurants everywhere. |

The hostess, Ms. Metella, was gracious and met us on time at the apartment. We were given a tour of the place and were shown all the emergency contact information. The apartment was clean and well furnished with modern decorations. Bathrooms were clean. Apartment was located on third floor (top floor) on a small sidestreet in Trastevere. Morning street chatter from below could be somewhat disruptive. However location was excellent with plentiful shopping and dining facilities within walking distance. We enjoyed our time here immensely and consider it a highlight amongst the other accommodations we experienced in Italy. |

The bedroom was spacious and lovely for three people, and the wardrobe for clothes was huge--but with few hangers and no drawers, hard to make good use of it. But I think I only noticed that because we had a long stay. I was worried that the noise from the street (Governo Vecchio) would be a problem at night, but with the window closed (there was good air conditioning) it was not noticeable. |

| 21-06-2010, USA This apartment was excellent. The location, near Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, was conveniently situated within walking distance of all major sites. The apartment was very nice. We had 3 adults couples in our party, but the two bedroom accommodations were perfect for our needs. Both bedrooms were roomy and comfortable and the sleeper sofas in the living area were quite comfortable for the two younger members of our group. The kitchen was well equipped; the bathrooms were very clean; and we had all of the amenities needed to make our stay quite enjoyable. We were so glad to find the Bed and Breakfast Association of Rome on-line. Our contact person, Marie, was awesome. We had numerous communications with her and she kept us fully informed of booking requirements and check-in procedures. And yes, we had a wonderful holiday in Rome. We wish we could have stayed much longer. |

The street noises can be heard late into the night, but I found that earplugs allowed us to sleep better. In fact, we overslept one morning by several hours. This location is very close to the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and the Vatican. We walked everywhere. I will recommend this apartment to our friends and I will stay there again. |

Her B&B is beautiful, spacious, and has a wonderful balcony overlooking lemon trees, a pool and tennis courts. It is also incredibly conveniently located just off Via Balduina, which takes one directly into the centre of Rome, and is an easy walk to Vatican and other sites. Vittoria transformed our brief stay in Rome from one marked by trepidation and slight anxiety into one characterized by a palpable sense of 'home'. I cannot overemphasize what a generous, helpful and gracious hostess she was for us. I wholeheartedly recommend her B&B to anyone considering staying in Rome. We are, in fact, staying with her again upon our return from Grosseto, if for no other reason to see her and her delightful cat, Sophia, once more before heading to Canada. |

It was a short walk over the Ponte Sisto to get to Trastevere, and everything else was within walking distance (Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Fontana di Trevi, Spanish Steps), except the Vatican, which still was not far. Our family of five had plenty of room (although we were out and about for most of every day). Bernardino even put in an extra bed in the second room for one of my kids, so we didn't even use the sofa bed. Having lived in Italy before, I can say that this was fairly close to real Italian living. Vi är mycket nöjda med lägenheten vilket läge så centralt och vilken genuin gata Roms äldsta. Gångavstånd till alla berömda sevärdheter.
Värdinnan var på plats när vi kom trots Rom maraton vilket jag inte visste. Vi fick tel nr till henne men det behövde vi inte ringa. Ok med safetyboxen och nycklar till lägenheten.
Lägenheten var mycket bra utformad. ett sovrum och en bäddsoffa i det andra rummet kombinerat med köket.
Vi "saknade" bara en sak en kaffebryggare hade varit bra. Det fanns en kaffekokare men den rymde bara två koppar. Det gick bra det också men om man får önska så....
Säkringen gick ockå en gång när vi duschade varmvattenberedaren gick igång och samtidigt hade spisen på, men det fixade vi själva genom att vi såg var säkringarna var.

The apartment was perfect for us. It was clean with extra towels, plenty of blankets, a kitchen full of utensils, hot water and plenty of room. The location was great - very central to almost everything. We walked everywhere we visited. It was secure - 3 doors to get in and out of - we felt very safe, and Mr. P. was lovely. We didn't have to contact him for any reason other than checking in. I would definitely use B&B Association of Rome again and have already suggested them to a friend when they visit Italy in July. |

The apartment was very comfortable and Signor S. was very kind and helpful - especially when I could not unlock the apartment door upon returning later in the afternoon on the 29th! I was so embarrassed, but he came and showed me that I had to push in genlty while turning the key! Anyway, it all worked out and we had a lovely stay. the apartment was clean and location was great! | 24-11-2009, Mobile, AL - USA Cod. 048 Aurelia - Vatican Museums My family stayed in two rooms let by Licia F. and her mother, Sonya, on October 27, 28, and 29. The rooms were extremely large and very nicely furnished. They appeared to be very new w/ up-to-date furnishing and the bathrooms were very nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the rooms very much. Ms. Licia spoke very little English and did not understand us at all so that was a bit difficult, however, her mother, Ms. Sonya did speak and understand English very well. It seemed as if Licia is the one responsible for the rooms as Ms. Sonya had us to pay Licia the remaining payments. The location is convenient to the Vatican and if I had not had to wear an orthopedic boot on my leg (up to my knee) for a bad ankle, it would have been an easy walk. However, the hill from the main street up Via Aurelia to the apartments was quite steep so it would be a difficult walk for an older person. There were a lot of steps as well leading to the Vatican, but they were not very steep and easily manageable even with my boot! Our only difficulty was finding a nice restaurant in the immediate area for dinner. The day we spent at The Vatican on Wednesday, we never could find a place to eat that evening before 7:00 pm so we bought some meat, cheese and yogurt from a local market for dinner which was okay, but we missed having an authentic Italian Dinner! I would be happy to recommend the B&B at Via Aurelia to anyone, we had no problem finding the bus into historic Rome, but visitors to Rome need to be cautious w/ the taxi drivers at the Termini! We took two taxis as we had 4 people and large pieces of luggage and we were charged 40 Euro's and later found that was extremely high compared to what we should have paid! Due to our luggage (we went on a 10-day cruise immediately after staying at this B&B), we could not manage the bus! Your directions, booking and reservation service was very easy and accomodating for us and we appreciate your assistance in making our visit to Rome so wonderful. |

We arrived by train, so it was nice that we could walk easily to our accommodations. The area around the station wasn't very attractive and I wouldn't recommend staying out too late in that area. Much to our surprise, it wasn't very noisy at night from the street, but you could hear a lot from the apts upstairs. | 26-10-2009, CA, USA Cod. 028 Piazza dell'Orologio - Banchi Nuovi We had a fantastic time in Rome, and I wanted to give you some feedback on our stay at No. 028 Room #1: The reservation process was fantastic - my first choice was already booked, but I immediately received a reply email from Marie suggesting a few other B&B's that were available in the area and timeframe we were in Rome. We ended up in Accomodation No 028, and it could not have been any better! It is located in the perfect location - very centralized so that we could walk everywhere, yet in a rather quiet side street which was great for sleeping at night (low noise levels). When we arrived from the airport, our host (I believe he was the owner) was awaiting us in front of the building. Even though he spoke very little English, he seemed very friendly. Once we got upstairs to the B&B, there was a younger woman there who spoke English very well. She would be our main contact, and in fact had a room there where she was staying to be available for the guests - and she always had a smile on her face. The room (Room #01) was very spacious, had a comfortable Queen size bed, and also an air conditioning unit. There was also a TV in the room, although there were no international TV channels. The bathroom appeared newly remodeled, also very nice. Breakfast was served in a little cozy nook, and consisted of different juices, home-made baked goods, fresh fruit, coffee / tea, and various fruit spreads and Nutella. There was always plenty of food! On our last day we were able to leave our luggage while we did some more exploring (our flight was not until 8pm that night) - that was fantastic! Once it was time to leave, they even called us a cab, and the owner made sure it picked us up on time. We could not have asked for anything more. We will definitely come back and have recommended your service and No.028 to many friends and family members. Thank you again for making our stay in Rome such a fantastic experience! |

They ladies of the B&B association also needs a recommendation as they were most customer friendly as they helped me out at the last minute to find this very nice room. Very well situated between the Piazza Cavour and the Treves and on walking distance of most of the sites. Ms. Suzie Ninni is a very kind and serviable person who also speaks French and English (always helpful if clients don't speak Italian) and who can recommend excellent places. There is absolutely nothing to criticize. The room has an ensuite bathroom with a shower that works (meaning has pressure and warm water!!! - not very easy to find these days, even in hotels). The only minor point (if you want to call it that) is that maybe 2 sets of keys would make it easier to stroll on one's own in the street of Rome. I did this and once at the door, the "portiero" did not respond and there is no ringer on the door for her appartment, so I had to call my husband who was in the room to come down and let me in. But as I said, this was not really a problem for us. |

The location was excellent and very central with a great restaurant next door through the back exit of the courtyard. The Piramide stop on the Metro was only a 10 minute walk from the B&B and connected us to every major site we wanted to see. The bedroom with the loft had plenty of space and along with the washroom, was very clean, and the kitchen was very well stocked. The A/C was great considering the 40 degree weather we experienced during our stay. Both apartments are located on a quiet and safe street and walking distance to touristic monuments like the Colosseo, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza España, etc, and closeby to the Termini Train Station where we would take a one day excursion to Florence by train. Very convenient. Very important also is its closeness to a supermarket, pizzerias and gelaterias. |

From the day I arrived, the place felt like home and Stefano was most accomodating and helpful. I stayed in the Ponente room for 2 weeks and Absolutely loved it - from the room to the location. I ended up walking down to S. Pietro almost every day as it was so close and found that, depending on my energy levels, I could pretty much walk everywhere I wanted to. On the days when I was a bit more fatigued the city centre was only a short bus ride away. I returned to Roma at the end of my 2 month long trip and had chosen to try somewhere else - turns out I didn't enjoy it as much as Piccolomini so on my next trip I shall definitely return. I really have nothing but praise for this BnB and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Roma. A big thanks to Stefano and his wife, also, for including me in their Easter Monday lunch with friends, it was nice not to be alone. |

She was a perfect hostess and helpful in every way. We emailed her before our stay with many questions and she responded quickly with invaluable advice. Her home is very neat and clean with beautiful furnishings and unique original artwork. The breakfast on the terrace was always a joy and she made sure we had all our favorites. One morning we were leaving very early so she brought a tray to our room the night before with juice, rolls with jams, cream cheese and fruit. Vittoria arranged transportation and took us to purchase our train tickets to Pisa and Venice which saved us alot of money since she could converse with the travel agent. We highly recommend staying with Vittoria and will stay with her again when we return. |

My search results included an ad at the top for the B&B Association. I clicked on it, searched its listings, and decided to give it a try even though I was unfamiliar with the Association. Marie Andersson answered me immediately. While she told me that my first choice was taken for the days I would be in Rome, as were all other places in the center of the city, she also asked if I would be interested in number 034. It was described as being "a bit further out but well connected to downtown by public transport." I accepted Marie's suggestion, and I'm very glad I did. Cecilia G. was a wonderful hostess. She speaks excellent English, took great care to make sure I had anything I needed, and provided a huge breakfast. The guest area is clean, comfortable, quiet, and spacious. She offered to help me book a private taxi from the airport directly to her place, and I was happy indeed when my plane arrived three hours late and the driver was still there holding a sign with my name on it. While I understand Cecilia's place might look a little out of the way on the map, if you're willing to ride a bus for 15 minutes or a take a train/subway combination for about that same amount of time, you'll be downtown before you know it. And you'll have a very quiet and safe neighborhood to return to each evening. I will try to stay with Cecilia next time as well, and if she's already booked I will happily use the B&B Association site again. |

The location was fine, and I actually found that I preferred retreating out of the center of Rome at the end of a busy day. I had no problems negotiating the bus or subway, and the bar two blocks from the B&B ended up knowing my morning coffee order as I walked in the door by the time I left! Balduina is a quiet, lovely neighborhood, and the terrace at the B&B was PERFECT for enjoying a late afternoon snack and reading a book. I will recommend this B&B to all my friends! |

We would happily recommend the apartment to any of our friends coming to Rome. The location is superb. We walked everywhere - Colosseum, St Peters, Museo Borghese, Piazza del Populo, Trevi Fountain etc and only took a taxi to the catacombs and Via Antica Appia. There are plenty of good restaurants and enotecas in the Campo dei Fiori area and we never ate more than 10 minutes from home. We'll be back! |

We are tired but, not so that we cannot take the time to let you know that we could not have wished for a nicer B&B for our first experience. The location (a pleasant 5 min walk to the Vatican and a 10 min walk to the train station) for our stay in beautiful Rome was perfect for us. Gene R. was such a generous and kind host to us. His breakfast meals including his special blends of morning coffee and teas were delightful! | 26-09-2008, Toronto, Canada Cod. 006 Villa Pamphili - Piccolomini Having stayed at many B&B's across the world, the Piccolomini was a true B&B that catered to the highest standards. The host, Stefano, was always on hand and available to help out with any tourist needs. He is warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate. The location is within walking distance to the Vatican and situated in a quiet and safe neighbourhood. There is an excellent pizzeria right on the corner and good neighborhood restaurants nearby. A short bus ride and you are in the centre of Rome but this can also be easily walked to from the B&B in a half hour. Although I stayed in the single room which had an immaculate modern bathroom that was comfortable and serviced all my needs, I would upgrade next time to the bedroom with the outside terrace. Breakfast included great granola and awesome espresso. (The espresso machine is available 24h and communal to all). For yoga enthusiasts - there is a Bikram Yoga studio that is a 15 minute walk away. I highly recommend this B&B and will be back next time when in Rome. He was the nicest person we met while visiting the country. Venice and Florence were lovely yet when we returned to Roma we felt as if we were returning home! He was there to greet us on our return and always made himself available by phone to answer any questions. The apartment was spacious and very clean. The shower has fantastic water pressure. There were nice cotton robes for our use and the kitchen was stocked with coffee, milk, yogurt and various cereals and biscuits. Admittedly on the outside the building was not what we had expected, but once we went through the entrance, there was a lovely courtyard. There was an extremely friendly concierge…Francesco … he didn’t speak English and my Italian was out of a book yet we conversed and he would ask of our day and our journey and was there to wish us a bon voyage on our departure. Mr. C. was most kind in offering us a map upon our arrival and took time to learn about us and what we would like to do in Rome…His advises included tourist destinations yet also 3 fantastic local restaurants. We did not have opportunity to phone and thank him for all his kindnesses and hospitality as we left very early. Martino ai Monti We are just home from our wonderful holiday in Italy, and I wanted to thank you for your help in arranging our apartment accommodation in Rome. We stayed at apartment Cod. 019 Santa Maria Maggiore - Martino ai Monti - it was perfect. Our host was wonderfully welcoming, and had thoughtfully provided interesting walking guides in English which were well used and much appreciated. She spent some time orientating us, and we confidently set out on our first exploration of the sites of ancient Rome that afternoon - we were so close to everything, it was great. We were travelling with two young teens - being able to return to the apartment and have comfortable space for all of us to write, read or reflect in charming bed rooms - or come together in the comfortable living space- made the trip a very happy one. The apartment was attractively furnished and well set out, it was so lovely and cool in the heat of the Roman August, and very quiet as well. The security was excellent as well. Very convienient to the major tourist sites - we walked everywhere; and a good quality supermarket - we cooked most meals here as the kitchen was well equipped. Perhaps the most fun we had was the afternoon spent in the parks around the Villa Medici - beautiful views across the rooftops of Rome, great fun renting bikes and exploring the grottos, fountains and parklands. |

| 01-09-2008, London, England Cod. 060 Monteverde Vecchio - Pamphili My sister and I spent one week in 060 Monteverde and had a wonderful experience. The accommodation was bright, clean and very nicely and thoughtfully decorated. The temperature was thankfully cool, as we were in Rome at the hottest time of the year. We got a lovely breeze as the apartment is below ground level. Every morning, Doral D. brought us breakfast: Croissants and brioche rolls which we had in a separate kitchenette where we could also make our own tea and coffee when we wanted. It was nice staying in Monteverde Vecchia as we got to see another side of Rome. It is a quiet and pretty residential area with Villa Pamphili very close by. This is a very huge park that is well worth visiting. We were also very close to Trastevere, which is an area by the river with many winding streets, great restaurants and shops. There's often live music in the main square in the evening when the whole area comes to life. From Piazza Fonteiana, you can get bus 44 both to Trastevere and to Piazza Venezia in the city centre. The bus stop is round the corner and down the road from the apartment which is very convenient. Doral, the Padrona di casa, was very friendly and professional. She also speaks Spanish as well as Italian, of course, and some English. She was very kind to us. We would both gladly return to this accomodation in the future and would recommend it to anyone who wants a peaceful stay in this part of Rome. |

Everything was fine from the very beginning, the landlord gave us all the information we needed, he is a really nice guy. Even when we asked for a last minute change in our reservation they were flexible and kind. The appartment is OK, comfortable, quiet and quite well located, we walked almost everywhere and public transport was also available just in front of the house. Nice place to stay in Rome. We received very useful information about places to visit, buslines and good restaurants nearby. The host is very warm and friendly, we felt like at home during our stay. We could also use her pc. The building is very close to two metro-entrances and Termini-station. It is situated in a calm safe neighbourhood and traffic noise is under control (good isolation) . I cannot express how happy we were with the apartment and the personal services provided by Marco. The apartment was clean and fresh with ample amenities. Marco went out of his way every time we needed assistance or simply had a question. Every possible service we could require was documented and posted in the apartment including restaurants (non-tourist), laundry, banking etc. It did not end there. The location was phenomenal. Take a right out the entrance and you were at the coliseum in 2 blocks. All of this at less then the cost of a hotel. |

For example, one of her suggestions was a neighborhood restaurant, Falcone, one block away with a nice selection of Italian dishes and a staff that was patient and considerate in helping to describe the various options. It was wonderful to see friends greet each other as they walked by and through the outdoor dining area. A great experience! |

| 08-07-2008, New York - USA Cod. 034 Balduina Alta - Loyola University (B) The apartment is located in a very accessible area of the city - a public bus to the Vatican took only about 10 minutes. The apartment was in a lovely, private, gated complex with a beautiful and lush garden. Our area consisted of a large bedroom, a private bathroom with shower and a small sitting room which opened onto to a large terrace. Coffee and an assortment of bread/cereal etc. were served on a terrace with a view of the city. Mrs. G. is the perfect hostess. She is friendly and cheerful and to our delight, she spoke English. She helped us in many ways without our even asking her. For example, she provided information to us on the bus route and guided us to the train station. She also helped us out with some difficulties we encountered because our luggage did not arrive until a day and a half after we landed in Rome. We will always have fond memories of our trip and Mrs. G.'s B&B is one good reason why. |

I wanted to pass along my comments on the lovely Sistina Barberini B&B.; I had the pleasure of staying in Bedroom 1 for two nights in May 2008. I would definitely recommend this B&B to other travelers! First, the price was very reasonable. We paid 140 € for three people, a bargain compared to other accomodations in Rome, especially during the busy tourist season. Second, the location was fantastic. The B&B is about a two block walk from the subway station, which was great for our travels to Termini Station and the Vatican. The Spanish Steps are a few blocks away, the Trevi Fountain is definitely within walking distance. We also walked to the Colesseum, Palentine Hill, Roman Forum, "Wedding Cake" building, Pantheon, and Piazza Navona from the B&B. There is plenty of shopping, restaurants, cafes, and even a little market within a very short walking distance from the B&B. We were first time vistitors to Rome, and this location was perfect for seeing all the usual tourist stops. Third, the accomodations were very pleasant! The room was impeccably clean and very comfortable. We were impressed by the cosmopolitan décor! Bedroom 1 had a very comfortable bed for two, and a pull-out bed for 1-2 as well. Bathroom was small, but we soon learned that is very common in Italy! We received fresh towels in the morning, which is not necessarily a given at European B&Bs. The street was somewhat noisy, but after two jam-packed days of sight-seeing, we had no difficulty falling asleep. Lastly, the proprietor, Leyla B., was very welcoming and pleasant indeed! Although she spoke no English, we were able to communicate in broken Italian. She welcomed us with drinks upon arrival and served us breakfast each morning. Breakfast consisted of pastries, bread, yogurt, juice, and choice of coffee/cappuccino. We had our own set of keys that granted us access to the building, elevator, B&B, and our room. Although we had to adhere to the check-out time, Leyla was happy to let us to store our luggage in her lobby area until we were ready to depart for our next destination. Overall, we were all very pleased with the Sistina Barberini. It was a great way to start our tour of Italy! I would definiltey recommend this B&B to anyone looking for very nice, clean, reasonable accomodations at a great location. If I am lucky enough to return to Rome, I will stay at Sistina Barberini again!Thanks, Sistina Barberini! |

It was clean, the bed was good and it was easy to find our way to sites of our interest. This is of cause also due to the good help from Mauricio who took his time to recommend routes, sites, restaurants, buses etc. We did a lot of walking as this is our favorite way of experiencing a new town and as the B&B is in a reasonable walking distance from most sites. We only had 3 full days in Rome but his good advice helped us getting the best of it. We will be back in Rome to see what we did not get to see and to see again all the interesting places in easy reach from this good B&B. |

We loved Gene's two cats Wolfie and Tiger who were as warm and gracious as our host, Gene. This was also a great location for walking to the St Peter's, centro storico as well as close to bus routes and metro (about 15 min walk) We definitely would come back!! Extra bonus, the Goose ristorante right around the corner -- cheap, friendly, great food - we did take our last evening and ate on our terrace with our view of the dome. Perfecto! bella!!!! |

Having just come from Siena, where I climbed 77 steep steps to my room, this was bliss! My room was comfortable, clean and well appointed, with a very modern bathroom and good quality towels. It is about 10 to 15 minutes walk to St Peter's, while there are also convenient bus connections to the centre . The host is most professional and obliging and presents a good variety of food for breakfast. There is a coffee maker available for caffeine hits during the day, also. ... My host allowed me to leave my luggage at his place on the last day, and arranged a car for my late evening flight back to Australia. Oh, and his little dog is a delight, no nuisance at all, but will accept a pat, if you want to give her one! |

Rummen var mycket bra och läget var just så bra som du beskrev med nära till Metro och närhet till restauranger, mataffärer och glassbarer (som både våra barn och vi vuxna uppskattade). Det var trevligt i Rom, vi han med att se flera sevärdheter och så hann vi åka till havet och bada. Men det var förfärligt var det var mycket folk i stan, både turister och ”vanligt folk”, vi är inte vana med så mycket vimmel här i Borlänge. Kul att uppleva detta, men också skönt att komma hem till lugnet igen. Jag tackar dig för den fina servicen. |

With a short walk to the Vatican and St. Peter’s and an even shorter walk to the bus station for the short trip to the Roman Forum, it was ideal. Not only was I able to conveniently visit the historical and cultural sites that Rome is famous for, I was able to enjoy a wonderful Roman neighborhood of shops, restaurants and friendly people. I am so glad that I chose to stay at this bed and breakfast instead of a hotel. The host hospitality beginning with arranging for a car at the airport, greeting me at his home, answering my many questions and providing the wonderful breakfasts, was extraordinary. | 29-04-2008, Sheffield - UK The accommodation was perfectly located and Paola was so helpful. She even organised our taxi to return to the airport. The room was kept beautifully clean, the breakfasts were adequate and the location ideal. We also felt very secure and didn't worry about our possessions at all whilst we were there - 2 locked doors and 2 locked gates. The room is peaceful and quiet and so close to the Colesseum - we went there for morning coffee almost every day. There is also a lovely small fountain with a bar very close by and plenty of places to eat which are relatively inexpensive. Thank you |

I had booked this some time ago, and the reasons for choosing this location were based mainly on the comments from people who had stayed there. All stated how helpful, concerned and friendly the hosts were. This certainly proved to be correct. Without being intrusive, they ensured that we were alright, didn't need anything, offered suggestions about areas to visit. Thumbs up to them, they are well suited to this part of their life! The apartment itself was wonderful, with room for 3 individuals to have private space when we wanted that. It is well equipped and comfortable, and absolutely spotless. We were given 2 sets of keys; again a benefit, as we could come and go alone, if we wished to, without worrying about the others. The location is convenient, very close to the Metro, train and buses. We did walk a lot, but it was nice to hop on the Metro to go to our furthest point, and walk from there. So, full marks for: value for money, cleanliness, location, equipment and mostly, for the personalities of the hosts. Would I recommend it to friends? Of course. |

| 16-04-2008, Malta Cod. 020 Vatican - Borgo Vittorio Just arrived back from a fantastic holiday in Rome , we stayed in this lovely little place, The hostess was very helpful and left us a lovely selections of breakfast foods coffees and teas , it felt like we went to stay with friends it was so homely and comfy I would recommend this apartment and also The Bed and Breakfast association , who where always quick and efficent with their replies . The apartment is situated so close to the Vatican its a great spot, there were plenty of guide books and maps and the place was very clean and tidy.it rearly felt like a little home from home, thanks a lot Mrs P., hope to see you again one day soon. We have never experienced such rain and had to stay out in it. We were sorry we didn't have an opportunity to use the garden to eat in but hopefully we will return to Rome sometime. Because we were tied for time it was great that we didnt have to shop for all the small thjngs which were thankfully in the flat, salt sugar oil etc. Not something normally found in a rental. Again a nice touch. We had originally book the same hotel we had stayed in when we first arrived in Rome and were more than pleased to find a flat which gave us heaps more room at approx the same money. I can safely say that we would have no hesitation in recommending this flat to anybody going to Rome. |

| 03-04-2008, Jamison, Pennsylvania, USA We stayed at this apartment from 20 March through 26 March 2008 during our recent trip to visit our daughter who is studying in Rome. What a wonderful time we had! The location of the apartment was great, very close to many of the magnificent sights of the city and many restaurants. Many were within walking distance and the others were easily accessed via bus from outside our front door. Our host, Mr. Marco U., was such a great help to our family, he speaks excellent English and made us feel very welcome from the first day of our arrival. There were six of us that stayed at the apartment and he arranged for our transportation to and from the airport. He pointed-out many of the sites on the map in our apartment the first day, as well as the location of the local grocery store and was always ready to help us with any questions we had. Mr. Marco even gave us his cell phone number if we needed anything from him during our stay. The apartment was so nicely furnished, neat, clean and very comfortable. Mr. Marco was especially helpful in his suggestions of places to dine in the city. He arranged for our celebration dinner on our last night at the fabulous La Carbonara restaurant where we celebrated birthdays for our daughter and son as well as the marriage proposal of our oldest daughter. Mr. Marco even helped us order the cake. Rome will always hold a special place in our heart. Thank you so much for making memories we will always cherish. We will recommend this apartment to our friends and will stay there again during our next trip to Rome. |

| 26-03-2008, The Netherlands Cod. 051 Santa Maria Maggiore - S. Prassede Last month, we (2) stayed in apartment 051 for the second time, and we were again very satisfied with it. It felt like our ‘home in Rome’. It is so quiet that you really get a good night's sleep. It is very spacious which is very pleasant too. When you stay in a hotel, you just have the one room and you have to do everything sitting on the edge of your bed. This is so much better. The kitchen and bathroom, although they are not recently fitted, are clean and functional. And of course we knew from the previous visit that the Esquiline is a very pleasant area to stay in. This time again, the owners were very hospitable and helpful. They treated us to a taxi from Fiumicino to the apartment upon our arrival, which was quite an experience! Our hosts were waiting for us in the street when we arrived and helped with our luggage, and when we came in the apartment, they had put a bowl of fresh oranges ready for us. On our last day we could leave our luggage in the apartment until we had to leave for Fiumicino, just as the last time. They really made us feel welcome again. If and when we are able to visit Rome again, we will certainly consider staying in Cod. 051 again. |

| 10-03-2008, Hertfordshire, England We had a very pleasant stay in the spacious Via Ostiense apartment and felt very welcomed. The hostess was very approachable, always available and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. She even helped us with directions to Abruzzo (3hrs from Rome) before we were due to come to the apartment. The apartment is situated 5mins from the Piramide metro and train station and is also convenient for the 23 bus across the road (the #23 takes you to the Vatican along the River Tiber route). There is also a taxi rank opposite the station, which for us was very useful to get back to the airport. The fixed price for the trip to Ciampino airport is 30 Euros from inside the city walls, but as the apartment lies just outside, you pay the meter rate (we paid 25 Euros to Ciampino). It is close to a supermarket, bakery, good restaurants, a genuine gelateria, a grocery store, pharmacy and banks, so anything you could possibly need is close at hand. It is also very easy to get to all the tourist sites, but lies in an area which retains a local feel. We also felt quite safe walking around at night. Finally, we would like to say that we were very satisfied with the friendly and efficient service from the Bed & Breakfast Association of Rome. We shall be recommending this apartment to friends and family. |

| 07-03-2008, Espana Cod. 077 Esquilino - Vittorio Emanuele This is the second time we visit Rome (and as the saying goes it's always lovelier the second time around) and rented this apartment near the Termini Station because we would take the train next day to Venice. The building is on a wide main street and next to a subway station and although the apartment is on a 3rd floor, the bldg has an elevator. It is fully furnished and the friendly owner, Ms. Cristina, provided us with more than enough towels and bed linen. She even gave us 2 maps to show the orientation of her apartment which is very clean and beautifully decorated combining rustic furniture with modern ones and framed prints hanged all over. Very chic (elegant). The bed & sofa bed comfortable & the heating adequate. If the opportunity arises, we would certainly like to rent the same apartment next time we visit Rome. Thanks once again to BB Rome whose service is always very efficient and friendly. |

| 05-02-2008, Canada Cod. 080 Saint Peter - Station My girl friend and I went to Rome in late October 2007. From the moment we arrived the chilly feeling you get when you arrive at a hotel room was not present. We felt like we were staying at a friends place right off the bat. E. just has a way of doing that. Conversation was always flowing so when we were there we didn't feel to be in a rush to get anywhere. The appartment is clean and very nicely decorated. Our favorite part each day was breakfast. We woke up each morning to freshly brewed coffee, pineapple and wonderful breads. From there it is only 10 minutes walk to St. Peter's Cathedral and with E.'s help each day we didn't feel any stress understanding how to get around, he took the time to ensure we knew where and when to go, what to look for, recommendations for restaurants, you name it, E.'s help was better than any hotel concierge we have ever met! :)... we loved every detail and when we go back to Rome we will go to E.'s and if anyone I know is going, I will recommend them to go there as well. We loved our trip to the big city of Rome, it is a cherished memory forever because Rome didn't feel foreign, we felt at home the entire time. Thanks Eugene, we will see you again. |

We enjoyed the combination of homely atmosphere and the sense of privacy in our lodging. The apartment was very well tended, the surroundings were pleasant and the city centre was easily reached by frequently running buses. We also found a lively neighbourhood restaurant nearby. Our days started off on the right foot with a hearty breakfast served by our hostess, a well-humoured lady who gave us all the information we imagined to ask her. She provided us with maps of Rome and made some bookings for us before our arrival. Overall, Mrs. B. took very good care of her guests and her dear Sofia. |

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut: Wo trifft man in Rom eine Unterkunft zu diesem Preis, die mehr bietet als ein oft sehr bescheiden ausgestattetes Hotelzimmer? Man hat ein sehr schönes, geräumiges Zimmer mit Balkon im 4.Stock und schönen Panoramablick auf die Campagna am Stadtrand, kann sich in der warmen Jahreszeit sonnen und relaxen. Dazu nimmt man an der Wohnung insofern teil: eigenes schönes Bad(Dusche), ausreichendes und sehr großzügiges Frühstück an langer Tafel im schönen großen Wohnzimmer. Fehlt etwas oder bei später Rückkehr mit Bedarf nach einer Kleinigkeit zu essen, darf man auch in die Küche –„Signora B., die “Padrona di casa“, die sehr gut Französisch und gut Englisch spricht, ist pensionierte Architektin, macht Kultur-Vorträge und Führungen zu wichtigen Kirchen und Orten in Rom und ist daher eine ausgezeichnete Beraterin, die mir sehr hilfreich war, um selbst entlegene Sehenswürdigkeiten sicher mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen(Internet-Ausdrucke des Fahrweges!). |

Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und ansprechend eingerichtet, die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Das Frühstück für den ersten Morgen stand schon bereit.Zur Straßenbahnhaltestelle waren es 2 Minuten zu Fuß und dann brachte uns die Tram 8 in einer Viertelstunde mitten in die Altstadt. Auch die Anbindung zum Flughafen Fiumicino ist gut (per Zug nach Trastevere) Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und gab uns hervorragende Restauranttipps unweit des Appartements. Sehr empfehlenswert! |

It is situated in the hart of the citycentre in an ancient area with trendy business and fun places, in a beautiful palazzo, well equipped and furnished, spacious, congenial, stylish without being over the top, very clean (one of my fellow travellers is allergic, the other a nosophobic...), well off for towels, and even the fridge contained a fresh drink. Signore P. was very kind, informative and the best English-speaking Roman I’ve ever met. I felt at home from the first second on and would recommend this appartment convincingly. |

Leiligheten er enkel, men ren og velstelt og etter vår oppfatning helt OK for noen dagers opphold. En potensiell innvending fra noen gjesters side kan være at markedet som holder til i gaten nedenfor starter noe tidlig om morgenen (de begynner å pakke ut ved 04 - 05 tiden), men det plaget ikke oss alt for meget. | 19-10-2007, Becket, MA, USA Cod. 094 Testaccio - Lungotevere My husband and I were very pleased in our Testaccio accomodation and with Mr. C.’s assistance. The location, further from the central sites but close enough by city bus, was delightful. Much more like a real Roman neighborhood and just across the bridge from the popular Trastevere section. Bus stops were very close by (the bus to the Termini railroad station was about a block away) and with a weekly pass we did just fine. I would suggest Americans take some time with Mr. C. to thoroughly understand the system of how the busses operate because you often get off at a different location than that where you got on. A good bus map is essential. We really liked the neighborhood. Not touristy at all. My wife and I walked every day in the small park about two blocks behind the apt., had ice cream at the Blue Ice store for 2 Euros for a generous cone and did grocery shopping at the small Pam/Panorama supermarket at the other end of the park. As for dining, we ate nearly every night at the Antico Forno, which is just about in the building where the apartment is. The food was very good and modest in price. You can eat Roman pizza if you like or have a regular meal. We saw the same waitress each night, G., and were greeted warmly every time. I would stay there again, especially now that I am familiar with the bus system. (p.s. Apartment windows sealed out traffic noises most effectively!) |

The room was large and very comfortable and most of all a very quiet haven to relax after the hustle and bustle of a day in the city. A short bus ride took into town and our host V. recommended the best places to visit for food and the finest gelato. In fact nothing was too much trouble for V. She gave us a very hearty breakfast in the mornings and on the last day gave us breakfast earlier so that we could have breakfast before we caught our plane. Always cheerful and lively she made us feel extremely welcome in her beautiful home which was nice and cool and airy with a lovely terrace at the front where you could sit and admire the lovely gardens. It was much more personal than staying in a hotel and she made us feel like we were almost living like true Romans for the week we were there. It was our first visit to Rome but I am sure it will not be the last…. after all we did throw a coin in the Trevi fountain which means we should return. |

Sofa bed extremely comfortable - much more so than conventional beds with sagging mattresses! Breakfast plentiful and healthy and we really appreciated the different surprise treats Eugene provided each day. He was incredibly helpful and all his recommendations were spot on (best places to eat, best ice creams, best times to avoid queues, best transport tips etc etc) We loved his company and he had the magical ability to be there when we needed him then to disappear quietly when we needed time alone. He was also remarkably charming when we disappeared for a whole day taking his door keys as well as our own, trapping him in his own apartment. Sorry again, Eugene. | 09-10-2007, Cumbria, England This is a very conveniently-situated apartment, within easy walking distance of Termini (even with your luggage) and with restaurants, a supermarket, cash machines, tabbachi (for bus tickets, stamps), etc in the immediate vicinity. It is within walking distance of the main ancient remains and the centro storico, with easy access to the metro and bus routes for sites further afield. Despite the bustle of Via Cavour the apartment is very quiet as it is at the back of the building, though that also means it has no outlook at all. It is simply but comfortably furnished and has all you need to prepare a simple dinner; breakfast supplies were provided. We found it very comfortable for two. It might seem a bit more cramped with three adults; also, if you are either very tall (more than 6’0”) or very large, the beautiful bijou shower room might present a bit of a challenge! La Signora P. and her daughter (who has the apartment opposite) were both charming and extremely helpful, and both speak English. We would certainly book this apartment again and/or recommend it (and the services of the excellent Bed and Breakfast Association of Rome) to friends. |

| 05-10-2007, Bulgaria Cod. 085 Testaccio - Porta Portese It is a pleasure for us to write this letter and let you know that we had a wonderful time at Cod. 085 Testaccio-Vespucci in early September 2007. The host was really kind and upon our arrival provided us with a map with detailed explanations about two possible routes to the centre, marking the important sights – and pointing out things we may have missed such as the absolutely amasing Caravaggios in Contarelli Chapel, San Luigi dei Francesi. He also reassuringly provided us with his personal contact details should we have any additional questions. The apartment is in a typical local residential complex, with a lovely courtyard, in a quiet neighbourhood - all of which makes the stay even more authentic. Amasingly, you could see the St. Peter’s basilica from the window. The colours of the apartment are warm and bright, with two spacious bedrooms, two private bathrooms and a kitchen and living room area that is very convenient for relaxing after long walks and late night spaghetti cooking. There is a popular bar across the street, and several restaurants and 2 groceries within 3-4 minute walks. Crossing the bridge and in 15-20 minutes you find yourself along the busy route of cafes, pizzerias and restaurants. The privacy and convenience of such an apartment is so much better than a hotel – I wonder why we have not done it before. It is perfect for two families / couples or several friends. We DO recommend this beautiful apartment for a genuine experience in Rome to everyone. |

The place is nicely located, actually more central than we thought, the apartment was very clean (and we are Swissies!), and we slept nice and tide, since the bed was firm and it was absolutely quiet once we closed the windows. M. speaks excellent English and was very helpful in arranging transportation back to the airport at the end of our stay. His list of neighborhood restaurants and shops was very useful (We highly recommend a visit to San Clemente church and its excavations and the food at Clementina which is a 5 min walk away). The apartment was quiet even though it is on a busy road. It is a 5- 10 min walk to the Coloseum/Forum or Metro. The apartment was clean, comfortable and the air conditioning work well. The beds were very comfortable after a day of hiking around Rome. |

| 06-08-2007, USA My family and I stayed in the Apartment in Rome, cod. 047 Colosseo-Labicana from July 27 for three nights. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean and neat the apartment was. The location was wonderful. The Colosseum was only five minutes walking distance from the apartment, which was great, since my father and 6 year old are not able to walk for long distances. My parents had their own double bedroom with a bathroom. My husband and I had our own double bedroom, and my son and daughter shared a bedroom with two twin beds. There was another bathroom and my children and I shared. All the rooms were roomy and the best part of all, they were air conditioned! It was very hot in July! The kitchen was stocked with crackers, jams, sugar, coffee, oil for cooking, etc. Amazing!!!!!! Marco was very pleasant, and extremely helpful, even getting up early in the morning to help us with our suitcases.I highly recommend this apartment and will not hesitate in staying there on our next trip to Italy. The apartment is in a nice area and you can not hear a sound outside your windows when they are closed. We felt very safe in this apartment. The bus station is close by that you can take to the train. We did not use bus or train, since we had our own rented vehicle. I recommend you take local transportation because even though we did not have any problems finding parking in front of the apartment, it was difficult to find parking around the tourists sites, especially around the Spanish Steps and Fountain of Trevi. We had to park about 10 min. walking distance which was not bad, but my father was too tired to walk back to the car, so we had to pay 10 euros to take a cab to the car. It is a quiet place in a quiet neighbourhood. It's about a twenty minute walk to St. Peter's and it is only steps away from the Metro which puts all of Rome at complete access. I loved the salumeria at the corner (best sandwiches imaginable) and although there is no phone at the B&B, there are two internet sites very close by. The breakfast which the proprietor, Simonetta, prepared and which consisted of fresh fruit, pastries and coffee, was perfect. If you have any questions, S. is very helpful and has great tips about Rome. Highly recommended. |

The living area was very roomy and being on the 5th floor the elevator is a life saver. It was a very quaint apartment and the neighborhood it is in, is very authentic, which was very interesting for us being that we were tourist. We enjoyed several locally family owned restaurants and had some of the best food while overseas. We will definately look to this apartment again for any future travels in Rome. |

The bedroom was very lovely, clean, well aired (the weather was very hot when we arrived, so the cool room was very welcoming) and very sufficient for two people. The bathroom was probably better than what you would get in a 4 / 5 star hotel! Ms F. B. was very accommodating. Our flight was delayed and I called her to advise that we would be one hour later than previously advised, but it turned out that it was closer to 2 hours delay. She was very friendly and welcoming, despite the late hour. She also provided us with lots of information for things to do and see around Rome - including local events not listed in guide books (flea market on Porta Portese). The B&B was centrally located to almost all the tourist attractions and they were all within walking distance, which was an added bonus as it allowed us to stroll through the various areas and maybe see more of the City, than if we had to use the Metro to get around. Rome is a very beautiful city with a lot of historical monuments. The attractions which we visited were very impressive (but expect to stand in a very long queue for St Peter's Church and the Vatican Museum), especially the Roman Forum. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in Rome and we can highly recommend both your services and Ms B.'s B & B. |

| 02-07-2007, Tucson USA We stayed at the Piramide Ostiense Apartment from 9-13 June 2007 (1 adult, 2 children). We found the apartment exceeded the description on the web site and can fully recommend this accommodation. The location - 150m from a subway station that is only 4 stops from the central Termini station - was excellent allowing us to pop back to escape the mid-day heat. The level of comfort was superb - although we were only 3 in number, the apartment could sleep 6 quite comfortably. It was very clean and comfortable throughout. Although we were late arriving, the hostess L. was courteous and showed us around and let us know that she was available by phone to answer any questions we might have (on anything in Rome). The apartment was stocked with a good range of tourist literature and L. even put some fruit out for us. The area is acceptable - at least 2 pizzerias, a gelateria and a very popular trattoria virtually on the doorstep! Quite safe to walk around outside late at night (always a worry when travelling with children). |

The lift was a definite advantage, and the double room with ensuite bath, most accomodating. The configuration of the apartment is most condusive to privacy. It would not be a good place for anyone allergic to cats, as they manage to slip into the living room, and through any other open doors, but they are well behaved! We have already recommended this property to our friends who often visit Roma and would certainly return there ourselves... we have made a new friend. |

| 16-06-2007, Arizona, USA Cod. 094 Testaccio - Lungotevere My 13 year old son and I have been back from Europe now for a full week and don't want to let another day go by without sending a note of thanks to Mr. M. C., our host at the 094-Testaccio property. Upon arrival he provided us with a map of the area on which he marked useful locations such as the neighborhood market, pizzeria, restaurant, bus stops and nearby sights. This was the bible for our 2 day stay. The bus stop was a short walk away and it was easy to get to the major sights such as St. Peters Basilica and Vatican City. After being elbow-to-elbow with the crowds at various sights it was a pleasure to return to our room in the quiet Testaccio neighborhood and to enjoy a gelato in 'our' small neighborhood park. Additionally, our kind host arranged for a taxi to arrive at 4am to take us to the airport on our day of departure. My alarm failed to go off and by some miracle I awoke at 3:17am. We quickly dressed, checked the room to make sure we left nothing behind and were out the door by 3:55am to the waiting cab. Apparently, my son made one last stop in the bathroom and left his prescription glasses on the shelf. This is when our host became a super-hero and after exchanging multiple emails with my husband they determined the best way to ship the glasses and wire the money. I would gladly return again! |

Our rooms were large and each had a private bath. It was less than five minutes to a bus stop. There was a secluded patio outside our room were we enjoyed breakfast and relaxed after a busy sightseeing day. I would recommend this B&B to everyone. We certainly will stay there if in Rome again. Mr. Antonio L. was a helpful and professional host at my arrival. He had even stocked the fridge and cabinets with some food and drink to help get me started. In short, his flat is the best one I have rented in Rome. The sound system in his living room was impressive! The flat is not in a typical tourist area but I was visiting family and preferred to be near them and not close to the city center. However, the area - Prati, just north of the Vatican -- is appealing and reachable to the center by tram or bus (or long walk). I also found the service of B & B Association of Rome to be efficient, responsive and courteous. |

If we ever return, we would certainly look to have this apartment again. The host spoke good English and gave us a very warm welcome and was very helpful with orienting us with the city. There was a bus map on the wall as well as a list of nearby points of interests (restaurants, market, etc). The apartment is very near a bus stop that concerns several bus lines that take you to the Vatican, Campo dei Fiori, Trastevere, and many other stops. A 10 minute walk from the Colosseum/Ancient Rome sites as well as the subway stop there. I do not believe you could find any better of an apartment in Rome when considering cost and quality. Highly, highly recommend! |

Down in Europe (as well as in the USA) many people eat pastries and sweets and toasted bread with marmelade for breakfast (a lot of sugar). It is normal in many countries but we don´t like that. We like ryebread, salami, cheese and unsweetened yoghurt (tea, coffee, juice was good). After buying that by ourself we got that the rest of our time at M. P. She is a very nice hostess. She even helped us with laundry, and didn’t accept pay for that although we insisted. Room, location, bed, bathroom, hostess, everything was very satisfying. We will warmly recommend our best friends to stay at Marias place in spite of the fact that she don’t speak English. Sign language, friendlyness and a bit fantasy made us to understand each other. We remember her with great wormth. |

| 27-04-2007, Helsinki, Finland Cod. 085 Testaccio - Porta Portese Me and my 70 year old parents stayed at Cod. 085 Testaccio-Vespucci and we were truly delighted with our choice. The flat was spacious with two big bedrooms and a large lounge. Since it was on the top floor of the block we even could see St Peter's basilica in the distance. The bedrooms were completely separated from each other with double doors blocking out all noise which was nice if one person wanted an early night or someone was an early riser. Both bedrooms also had en-suite bathrooms which was very convenient. The apartment was tastefully decorated and had all amenities including a hairdryer and an iron. The flat was in the Testaccio area which felt safe and peaceful but was within easy reach of the city centre, either by 20 minute walk or via good public transport connections. Our host was very friendly and welcoming even if we were extremely late when arriving. He gave us a map and some suggestions on what to see in the city and in Testaccio and Trastevere which is a picturesque area just across the river. He gave us hints about local restaurants and pizzerias and where to find a supermarket which is open all day every day. With his help we also found a fruit and vegetable market where we bought fresh ingredients for our breakfast table. There are also several bakeries and a wonderful deli just a couple of minutes walk from the flat. There was a pizzeria down the street where you could watch the four chefs bake the pizzas in a wood fired oven. You could then take the pizza back to the flat or sit down with the locals and eat it there. Me and my parents really enjoyed our stay in this flat and we would recommend it to anybody visiting Rome. There are some nice restaurants in the neighbourhood. We especially liked Naboo in the same street and also had a great kebab at the corner! The hostess also showed us the way to the best icecream of Rome. Everything is within walking distance. We really recommend this place! I also want to mention that the way you organise everything is very much OK. |

The hostess was very warm and hospitable and speaks excellent English. We stayed here for five nights and the B&B is ideally located, just steps away from the Cipro-Musei Vaticani metro stop off the "A" line. It is also a very easy walk to the Vatican Museum and St. Peter's Square. In addition to the delicious breakfasts, heed the hostess' advice regarding the restaurants she recommends! She directed us to superb restaurants that we in turn, suggested to friends who were on their way to Rome the week after we were here. We were fortunate to find the Heart of Rome apartment at Via Labicana. I heartily recommend this apartment, because it is very close to the Colosseum and the heart of old Rome, but mostly because of the host, Mr. Marco U., who went the second and third mile to make sure our stay in Rome as perfect. He helped us in every way he knew how and offered to do anything he could to help. The apartment is clean and very accommodating. I am sure six adults could spend time there very comfortably and enjoyably. If we are ever privileged to return to Rome I will email Marco first to seek accommodations and then plan the trip when this apartment is available. The elevator is helpful. The apartment is in a 1950’s vintage apartment complex with a lovely central courtyard. We felt safe at all times. Easy walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, and an open market (about 3 blocks away). About 8 blocks from the subway but an interesting walk. Excellent local restaurant half a block away. Very modern bathrooms – both large with nice showers. Very large bedrooms. We were thoroughly impressed and will try to return to the same apartment. Thanks to the owner. |

Everything went like clockwork and the accommodation is both tasteful and cosy: in spite of the very central location, the room is an unexpected haven of calm and it is a distinct advantage being able to prepare breakfast/eat in the room when one wishes. I also appreciated the freedom of a separate entrance, while Ms M. could not have been more helpful when I did ask for advice. To be recommended!! |

My friend and I could share the space very comfortably. The location is the best for us who like to shop without crowds of tourist. Everyone we met at the Testaccio Market was friendly. The tomato specialist arranged the tomato trial set of various types and kinds. Very tasty! From the B&B, we could easily get to any spot including the FCO airport by bus and train. Mr. C. took great care of us from the time we landed in Rome until we picked up a rental car at the airport five days later. He arranged for transport to/from the airport and a driver was waiting for us as we landed and departed the city. He met us when we arrived and spent a great deal of time with a map of the city asking us what we wanted to see and drawing diagrams of where things were. He also showed us how the bus sytem worked and told us where to enter and exit including the name of our stop so we could always get back no matter what bus we took. He gave us directions and information about places that you would never find on a tourist map. We loved them all! This lovely B&B is located in a wonderful neighborhood outside of the touristy center – here you can truly experience daily life of the welcoming people who make up the community of Testaccio. The food is outstanding, and we found no language barrier because everyone had a sense of humor. We walked wherever we wanted to and felt we were more of a part of a true Italian neighborhood than if we had stayed in the city central. The accommodations were great, and Mr. C. was a perfect host. If we have another opporutnity to visit Rome, we will definitely stay here. |

The apartment is very tidy, spacious and well appointed. The kitchen is small with just a couple of hotplates (so you probably wouldn't use it for cooking a dinner), but is fine for making coffee and has a good sized fridge. A street market is located just across the road which is convenient for buying fruit and vegetables and other produce, although it is a little noisy early in the morning - not really an issue though as we were generally up early to see the sites anyway. The owner P. is very friendly and helpful and provided good tips on local eateries and a map showing the location of local sights and amenities such as internet cafes, pharmacies etc. Kind regards, |

Prassede We recently returned from our trip to Rome, and I felt it necessary to write about our experience with the apartment we rented for 9 nights. The location was ideal, close to Maria Maggiore, the metro, great bakeries and restaurants. The accommodations themselves were very comfortable and suited our needs. Most importantly, the landlady and her daughter were most helpful when our luggage did not arrive with our plane. They went above and beyond in assisting us in locating the lost bags, in having them delivered to the apartment, and in staying around to receive them. We never lost any time waiting around for the delivery as these two ladies took care of it all. Should we have the opportunity to return to Rome, I would certainly return to this lovely apartment. |

| 13-10-2006, Burlington, Ontario, Canada Cod. 057 Trastevere - Porta Portese We have just returned home, after spending 13 nights in the apartment listed as 057 Trastevere/Porta Portese. Our stay at this apartment was delightful! The apartment is spacious, light-filled, and beautifully renovated. We felt like we were staying in our very own home, in the interesting, and trendy Trastevere neighbourhood. The number 8 tram is a short 2 blocks away, and we took it every day to Largo Argentina, in the centre of historical Rome and then walked everywhere. The neighbourhood is safe and we felt right at home, walking the streets at night for the "passeggiata". There were so many interesting, wonderful, and moderately-priced restaurants where we nightly joined the locals to feast on typical Roman dishes. A supermarket, food shops, bars, gelateria, and an interesting open-air market, where we bought many fresh, local ingredients and fruits for our breakfast or lunches, were just a few short steps away. A short bus ride away took us to Viale Marconi, a shopper's paradise where all the leading designer shops could be found. The owner of the apartment was charming and very welcoming. We found many essential staples such as coffee, sugar, salt, good olive oil, vinegar, honey, paper towels and serviettes, for our use, in the kitchen cupboards, so we could make a cup of coffee, without having to go shopping, as soon as we arrived. We returned the favour by leaving a few things too. |

Everything was exactly as represented on the web-site - the apartment is very close to the Metro A line and many buses also, there are at least 3 fabulous neighborhood reastaurants with luscious food at great low costs, and our hostess Signora A. and all her helpers were all so kind and gracious to us. The casa is very clean and M. put out a great breakfast early every morning, the apartment was very quiet and safe-feeling for us 3 ladies, and all the other guests were also very nice. The only little downside is that the bed is actually a sofa bed so not as comfortable as a real bed but G.'s kindness just makes you forget about it. The breakfast was very nice too, we had different types of bread, marmalade, fruit, fresh orange juice tea and coffee... And Gene was very helpful in telling us about nice restaurants, nice places to see and how to go to different areas of Rome, he even prepared a lot of docs about Rome and a little card with the different buses to take... His place is about 5 min walk to San Pietro and has a nice balcony with a view on the Coupola. He also did send me an email a week before my arrival to explain me how to get to his place by bus/taxi and all little tips to avoid being driven by an unofficial taxi that makes you pay a fortune... Our stay was really nice and you're very lucky to be living in such a beautiful city! |

She made us feel right at home.The location was close to a bus stop & with one bus ride we were in central Rome so that walking to many of the famous attractions was possible. It rained on 2 of the 3 days we were in Rome & on both of these days V. drove us to a bank so that we could withdraw money & then took us into the centre of Rome where we could walk or take public transportation to the sites we wanted to visit; it was as if she felt personally resonsible for the rainy weather. The accomodation was very clean & was actually better than we had expected. I must admit that I was a little apprehensive in booking accommadation over the internet –not knowing what to expect, but the Bed & Breakfast Association of Rome were both efficient & courteous as well as very professional & we were pleasantly surprised. We will deal with the association & V. on our next trip to Rome. |

She speaks little English (and we speak little Italian), but we managed to communicate with lots of hand gestures and not much difficulty. The apartment is located on the tram and bus lines, which makes it very convenient. The neighborhood is enjoyable and not full of tourists (a plus from our perspective.) We found a delightful restaurant in the next block. This was a good place to stay and we’d certainly recommend it to friends. |

I really appreciated that because I was a bit late in doing so and within a few days everything was set up and confirmed for my stay. You recommended the B&B Code 88 which was just delightful! The area was lovely. The apartment building was very nice and on a sizable piece of property with a little park area that had big trees and vegetation which I could see from my large bedroom window. The apartment was very well appointed with original artwork and a lovely balcony with flowers that stretched around the entire apartment. My room was very comfortable, attractive and a good size for two and I had a door to the garden terrace. He had just finished redoing the bathroom which was amazing – like one of those you would see the Architectural Digest Magazine! He was open to whatever I wanted for breakfast. Mr. G. could not have been more helpful throughout my visit. Although the price seemed high at first blush for this B & B, it was well worth it to enjoy the upscale neighbourhood and the beautiful, well-appointed apartment/guestroom. But most of all my host P. G. made my stay a memorable one through in kindness, worldliness, knowledge of Rome and his graciousness. Thank you again for your part in all this. My husband and I are frequent travelers who have experienced a variety of quality and features in our European accommodations. As a result, we feel confident in saying that this is a wonderful place - one of the best. The space was clearly renovated with love and good taste, and our hosts are charming and enormously helpful. Though the apartment is located close to some major attractions, a good night's rest is possible because the immediate area is quiet and private and the bed very comfortable. We can't imagine a place in Roma that would suit our needs better, and look forward to returning. All the best. |

| 30-06-2006, Canada Cod. 096 Piramide - Marco Polo Bonjour,we had a most remarkable time in Rome from June 9 to 15. The accommodation at Ivana's were comfortable, spacious, safe and private. It is certainly well located for bus, metro and train services. We had the pleasure of Ivana's hospitality as well as the hospitality of her son, Enrico on the weekend. They were both very knowledgeable of what to visit, where to eat and how to get to places. We followed many of their recommendations and it made our first visit of Rome most enjoyable. While the location was noisy because of the station (we live in the country in Québec and we are used to quiet at night!), we realize that most places in Rome are noisy as it is part of the lively aspect of the city. We did get used to it, despite having kept the windows open at night because of the warm weather we were fortunate to have. As soon as we arrived she gave us various maps and all the various possibilities to get to central Rome, which are numerous. The location is actually very convenient, only 20 minutes by bus and you are near the Vatican and only a short walk across the Tiber to Piazza Navona and a nice longer walk to Trastavere where we find lovely restaurants. V. was always very attentive to our wellbeing, was a treasure of informations about Rome and offered help to book tickets for The Gallery Borghese and cheap taxis to the airport. It was always lovely in the evening, after a hot day walking in Rome to arrive in this very leafy and luxuriant residence, with only the birds to wake you. We would highly recommend this B&B and will go back ourselves. |

Her B&B is in a suburb of Rome, so after rushing around all over the downtown sights of Rome, it was wonderful to take a short metro or bus ride to a quiet neighborhood to stay where "real" Romans live, away from the tourist sights and hotels. Her home is beautiful, with a wonderful view, and she provided a delicious breakfast. It is also within walking distance of a fabulous restaurant and a gelati shop. That is where we will stay when we return to Rome. |

| 16-05-2006, New York City, USA Cod. 085 Testaccio - Porta Portese We recently stayed at Cod. 085 (May 6-8) and we were thoroughly impressed with the apartment, location, AND our host. Originally, we had hoped to stay in the City Center, but after being in Testaccio, we realized that this location was an even better choice! We were only 20 minutes walking distance from the City Center, and our host was generous enough to provide us with a map upon our arrival and suggest two different "walks" for us to take that touched upon different landmarks throughout the city. We followed his advice, and we were not not disappointed! After being immersed in the bustling tourist scene of the City Center all day, it was a welcomed change of pace to enjoy the laid-back atmosphere in Testaccio, and dine with the local Romans at several AMAZING (and affordable) restaurants that were in the area. We felt like we were getting the true Roman experience rather than spending our evenings with a bunch of other tourists. Furthermore, the apartment was clean, had comfortable queen beds, plenty of hot water, and offered TONS more room than we would have gotten at a traditional hotel. We have enjoyed our stay very much, due to the hospitality of the host, the quiet residencial neighbourhood, and the nice apartment, close to the Vatican and the metro. If you are staying here, please visit the bar Andivivieni (around the corner), which is a great place to have drinks and antipasti. Two remarks: the bed is a little hard, which for us was not a problem at all, but if you like soft beds... The room doesn't have airco; again no problem for us in March, but in June, July?? |

Most of all we appreciated the landlord’s hospitality. When we asked where we could watch the olympic games they recommended a sportsbar nearby (very much appreciated by our teenager sons) and furthermore - they even provided us with a TV.!We can really recommend this B&B Association which gave us excellent service (even in Swedish !) and the appartment. |

There are many windows, not only in the room we stayed in, but also surrounding the breakfast table. Since the apartment is located in the last floor of a house standing on top of a hill, one has a beautiful view. It is a very safe area, quiet and with fresh air due to little traffic. It's not hard to find at first and once you know the shortcut to the metro you get there within less than 5 minutes. From there it takes 15 minutes to Termini. We thank Mrs Virginia and her family for making our stay as comfortable. We will definitely recommend this accommodation in the future! |

The place was neat and clean with everything you could possibly want. It was wonderful to be so close to St. Peter's and go there at night, sit at the plaza, when it was all quiet, contemplating the beauty of the architecture, just before going to sleep. The Vatican museum is the most profound museum I have ever been in (just three blocks away). Staying in a private place made me feel part of Roma more than staying in a hotel. Do not be concerned with its location as it is only a 2 minute walk to the bus and a 20 minute ride to the city centre. After a day of scooters, etc. it is a nice respite from the 'Roman traffic'. It is spotlessly clean in a gated well treed complex. Breakfast was served on the terrace each morning, at our convenience, by the hostess Mrs. V. B. She is a charming lady whose help was invaluable to us when the airline lost our luggage. We would highly recommend this B&B. |

Every morning, Mrs. P. prepared a wonderful breakfast and American coffee just the way we like it. Just a short walk to the tram and we were off sightseeing the history of wonderful Roma. The location is outstanding. It's away from the hustle but an easy walk into Trastevere for good eating and a short ride to the center of Rome. Can't recommend the place enough especially for a family with one teenage child. |

| 30-03-2005, Edmond- OK- USA My husband and I enjoyed our trip to Rome in March 2005. The accomodations were just what we expected and the inclusion of breakfast made the rate a bargain. A bonus was that the bed was comfortable and was a real queen sized bed, with no "seam" in the center! The tram stop was just 1 1/2 blocks away so all of Rome was readily accessible. We know very little Italian and our hostess knew even less English comparatively, but communication was absolutely not a problem. Our room faced a courtyard which was not very interesting to look at but it did serve to buffer any street noise we otherwise might have heard. Breakfast each morning was prompt (homemade bread, coffee, juice and yogurt) and very good. Several good restaurants are within walking distance of the home. It was a fabulous experience with not a single misstep. We will use B&B of Rome next time we travel. |

| 04-12-2004, Greenock, Scotland We are just home after spending 3nights in this lovely apartment on our first visit to Rome. The flat was spotlessly clean and had excellent facilities. The location couldn't have been better - round the corner from the Sistine Chapel! Our view from the back window was St Peters Dome. We had a wonderful time and got around the city on the nearby metro which meant dodging the horrendous traffic and allowed us to jump from one awesome historic site to another in minutes. We have been recommending you to all and will come back soon. Ciao Roma. |

We found our hostess's very friendly and helpful with transport and sightseeing. We especially enjoyed Ivana's breakfasts in Ref.38 and Patrizia's help in Ref.70 as she took us to the railway station in her car early in the morning for our flight home. The apartment was well in walking distance to major sights. The tram to take you across the tiber was a short walk also. The restaurants in the area were abundant and all very good. The apartment was clean and well maintained. When I return to Roma, it will be a pleasure to stay there again. |

| 05-11-2003, The Netherlands Yesterday night we returned from our wonderful holiday in Rome. You were absolutely right: Rome is fantastic. We had wonderful summer weather and our apartment was simply great !!!!!!!!!! We enjoyed (at least) some of the sights but we are sure we would need a YEAR (or longer) to see everything. Maybe one day we'll come back to see more. If anybody asks you about "our" apartment, please give the information that it's very very cosy and nice and well equipped. We stayed in the Piramide B&B your cod. 38. Our hostess, Ivana, was most pleasant and a pleasure to visit with. Her advice was terrific on what to see and when the best times would be to visit various sites. Ivana was a most gracious hostess. We very much enjoyed staying in her apartment which was always kept clean. The breakfasts served each morning were very much appreciated. We recommend this B&B as a good location to stay, close to the Metro line and on the city bus line. It was absolutely lovely, and the hostess, Ms. H., was friendly and accommodating. When we were deciding where to stay in Rome, you recommended this room as being the best for a honeymoon -- and it was!. We had our own private room, with a separate entrance from the rest of the rooms, and were very pleased with how quiet and calm the B&B was, despite its proximity to St. Peter's Square. We found everything within easy walking distance, and enjoyed wandering the neighborhoods around St. Peter's and across the river in the Centro Storico. I have certainly recommended this B&B to everyone I've spoken to about it -- we really enjoyed our honeymoon and staying in this lovely building. Thank you. |
