This B&B, with its lovely entrance hall, is located on the 5th floor of an elevator building in the Flaminio area of Rome. This area is adjacent to the Renzo Piano designed Parco della Musica, the wonderful new auditorium where many of Rome's musical events now take place as does the new Rome Film Festival in October. The guest room has a queen size bed dividable into 2 twins, lots of closet space, a ceiling fan for the warm season and a TV set. The private bathroom is in the corridor and has a stall shower with plenty of hot water. The welcoming hostess will prepare breakfast in the kitchen. The Flaminio area is connected to the center of town by a tram that runs on special tracks allowing it to move rapidly through Rome's traffic. The B & B is 3 stops from Piazzale Flaminio and Piazza del Popolo, one of the most famous piazzas in Rome with its Renaissance gate and twin churches designed by Bernini. The Flaminio stop of Subway Line A is also at this point and connects with many other sections of Rome. From this point it is also an easy walk to several of Rome's most historic sights such as the Fountain of Trevi, the Spanish Steps and Piazza Navona. Subway Line A also runs to the transfer point to Ciampino airport, perfect for a city break in Rome.
