Located in the very heart of old Rome just a few meters from the Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, this apartment is within walking distance to all the important Roman sights. It is situated on the second floor of a walk up building located on a side street. However some noise may be heard from the nearby square. It has recently been refurnished and redecorated. There is a comfortable bedroom with an ensuite bathroom (with a stall shower); a spacious and light filled living room which also contains a double sofa bed; and a good size, well equipped kitchen for your meals. It also has a small terrace inside a courtyard where you may dine al fresco during good weather. This ancient building has very thick walls which provides a "natural" cooling in the summer months. The Trastevere section with all its various restaurants, pubs and shops is a center of active Roman night life. The historical center of Rome, where many of the major tourist sights are located, is within easy walking distance or just a 10 minute ride on the Number 8 Tram. The local train from the airport stops at the Trastevere Train Station which is also near the apartment.
